So the Nexus One is not very far away at all, and the question on everyones lips is: is it an iPhone beater?

The answer almost certainly lies in whether the Nexus One has enough useful features in an elegant enough package to lure iPhone users away from their familiar tried and tested handsets while still providing as good as if not a better user experience than they’re used to. And that’s a pretty tall order.

One area that has seen the most increase in usage on mobile devices is their use as a mobile browser, however at this stage there’s one thing missing from almost all devices, Good Flash support.

Here we see the Adobe staff using the Google Nexus One to run some flash games and also show the multi-faceted use of flash on popular websites like NationalGeographic.com. It highlights just how important flash has become to normal user experience, and if we’re going to get any closer to mobile devices being used as a full internet solution (and not just a supporting role) we simply cannot continue without Adobe making the steps to ensure full adoption on all handsets.

One thing you will notice is just how fluid and fast the browser appears to work. One massive advantage the NO has is that it’s using the new Snapdragon 1Ghz processor, giving almost double the power of all other modern handsets. HTC are rolling almost all of their new handsets out with this cpu which means Android 2.1 will be found on almost all new devices. HTC are certainly leading the mobile market at this point in Q1 of 2010 both in handset choice and technology.

Unfortunately at present Apple and Adobe are in loggerheads over licensing agreements for usage of flash on their handsets, this leaves a bit of an opening for Software and intenet giant Google to take advantage of this situation for their second flagship handset.
